we see the fruition of that effort in the shape of this magnificent three- tiered structure.
Success can be achieved only through meticulous planning and systematic execution. In this case the one person who is instrumental in dreaming of this concept and one who followed it up step by step with dedicated perseverance is none other than our Principal Rev. Sr. Lawrence. For her, this has been a labour of love. We have watched her supervising and inspecting the building from its inception. I am sure many grateful generations of Patricians will be indebted to her for converting this pressing need of a Multipurpose hall into a reality.
It was inaugurated by Sr. Rose George, the Provincial Superior of the Delhi Province of Jesus and Mary and blessed by His Grace, the most reverend Dr. Albert D’Souza, Archbishop of Agra.
A colourful cultural Programme was staged by the students of St. Patrick’s Junior College. Vibrant dances, melodious hymns and exercepts from Shakespearean plays regaled the packed Hall.
Sr. Lydia the Provincial Bursar, Sr. Sebastian, the Manager, and Sr. Genevieve the Local Bursar and the other sisters of St. Patrick’s Junior College, the priests, the Principals of the neighbouring Schools, the special invitees, the parents of all the participants and of course all our Staff Members were present for this memorable function.
This spacious hall is one of the biggest in Agra. The large stage, the in-built acoustics and the touch-button curtains make it a state of the art structure. Undoubtedly with the inauguration of this hall a glorious chapter has been added to the history of St. Patrick’s Junior College.
Congratulations to our Architect Mr. Sunil Chaturvedi and our builder Mr. B.K. Sharma for this magnificent building.
The Patricians are overjoyed as all our future functions will be held in this multipurpose hall. It will definitely show - case the talents of the future generation of Patricians and will enable large groups of audience to applaud them. This is indeed a turning point in the history of St. Patrick’s Junior College! |
